There’s No ‘I’ In ‘Team,’ But There Is In ‘Dick’ (SOCCER VIDEO)

Soccer is called the Beautiful Game because, well, a lot of people over-react. But they probably mean that even though it’s a team sport, it allows for the display of individual athletic creativity and artistry. But it also allows for individual dickery. Watch as the the Uruguayan U14 team goalkeeper Guillermo Centurion fields a corner, passes to himself, and scores against his opposite number, who apparently forgot why he was on the pitch:

Okay, it was a good real-time decision, and Centurion showed good skills finishing to seal his team’s 3-1 win. But he will never get away with that again, and with only a 2-1 lead in extra time, if he had been dispossessed he would have left his team vulnerable to a tying score. So next time, stay home to preserve the win, because just one mistake, is all it will take, we will remember you, for Centurion…
